The passes, now available online, reflect price adjustments to offset costs for American citizens.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) announced updates to the National Parks passes, including price changes and upgraded accessibility. Digital “America the Beautiful“ passes have been released and are accessible online for visitors. The annual pass increased to $250 for nonresident visitors, and nonresidents without an Annual Pass will be charged an extra $100 in addition to their entrance fee at popular parks. The annual pass price for U.S. residents remains at $80.
All national park passes will also grant entry to two motorcycles per pass, and free entry for residents will be available on certain days of the year. The department stated that the income generated by these new fee structures will be reinvested into the national parks to support upgrades, maintenance, and enhanced services.
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said, “These policies ensure that U.S. taxpayers, who already support the National Park System, continue to enjoy affordable access, while international visitors contribute their fair share to maintaining and improving our parks for future generations.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Burgum as he oversees the department’s modernization of the park passes.
- For Interior Department officials as they seek to increase accessibility to the national parks system.
